Good Day Readers:
If British Members of Parliament are any indication your MP is likely sending some pretty asinine tweets on their government (code for taxpayer) issued BlackBerries or whatever it is they use.
Sincerely,
Clare L. Pieuk

MP tweets: A tweet is a long whine in politics
By Josh Layton
August 1, 2011
As it is claimed MPs spend a day a week on Twitter we look at their online moans on busses, vandals and, er, Pizza Hut
IT'S the way thousands of normal folk - oh, and celebs - share their thoughts, so it was only a matter of time before MPs joined Twitter.
In just one week this summer our politicians bashed out nearly 2,500 tweets covering energy policy, a joke about the Dalai Lama and meeting voters.
While some address the big issues others are downright inane - such as a dig at Pizza Hut.
Gavin Shuker, Labour MP and Shadow Environment Secretary, wrote on his profile: "Don't expect anything too intelligent from me on here." Of his Westminster colleagues, 275 out of 650 are on Twitter, including Labour leader Ed Miliband and deputy PM Nick Clegg.
MPs spent the equivalent of almost one day a week tweeting, lobbying firm Westminster Public Affairs found.
Director Olly Kendall said: "They reveal a side to them that most people don't usually see - humorous, self-deprecating and downright ordinary.
"David Cameron, who is not on Twitter, once had to apologise after saying: "The trouble with Twitter, the instantness of it - too many twits might make a t***."
Read these and you decide...
@Kerry_McCarthy (Labour, Bristol East) Proper minestrone in Italy has bacon in it. Not that I approve of course. Lentil and ham soup is the one that annoys me.
@TomHarris (Labour, Glasgow South) Might consider supporting death penalty for the little s**ts who nicked the satnav and the fascia for my radio out of my car...
@Stella_Creasy (Labour, Walthamstow) With my two and a half year old nephew and he's found my secret Percy Pig stash *that's my boy!*
@AndrewGwynne (Labour, Denton and Reddish) My Twitter feed is so boring... What's up guys? Oh yeah, you're all sleeping. It's 11am in Narita airport.
@Tom_Watson (Labour, West Bromwich East) I'm out in London town after a lively week. Listening to The La's "there she goes."
@RobertHalfon (Conservative, Harlow) Idyllic at the Moorhen Pub especially after a Hungry Horse Megasaurus Steak
@Louise_Mensch (Conservative, Corby) I now have 33,000 followers. Welcome all new people, but I should warn you, it's not usually that exciting!
@Julian_Huppert (Liberal Democrat, Cambridge) If we could move London taxis and buses to electricity it would save money, reduce pollutants, emit less Co2. Sounds good!
@EricJoyce (Labour, Falkirk) Assault on Rupert Murdoch is terrible. Perhaps cops should have let Wendy Deng at attacker for an extra minute.
@BrandonLewis (Conservative, Great Yarmouth) The historic and beautiful Lydia Eve boat is going under steam from Great Yarmouth today. Worth a viewing, she is stunning and historic.'
@John_McDonnell (Labour, Hayes & Harlington) This is the biggest workers and students demonstration in decades. Just shows what can be done when people get angry. We must build on this.
@Tom_Blenkinsop (Labour, Middlesbrough South) Nick Clegg warned before the election of "riots" if Tories introduced extreme cuts. Now the riots have begun... Clegg's fault.
@ChrisBryant (Labour, Rhondda) I find it frightening that James Murdoch or anyone can rest their whole ethics on profit. A dangerous god.
@Gloria_De_Piero (Labour, Ashfield) Exhausted but happy. Off to bed. Well done to all labour candidates everywhere!
@DianeAbbott (Labour, Hackney North) Life's a bitch. You die. Then News International checks your voicemail. Popped into my local Jamaican takeaway "Peppers and Spice" for a patty. Lots of white people tucking in. Multiculturalism lives!
@Ed_Miliband (Labour, Doncaster North) Thanks for all the good wishes. Really looking forward to the day. Feel like the luckiest guy in the world to be marrying Justine.
@JonathanReynolds (Labour, Stalybridge & Hyde) Just had dreadful customer service in @pizzahut Snipe. Have come to Sheldon Arms instead, named after one of my predecessors Bob Sheldon.
@JeremyHunt (Conservative, South West Surrey) Surrey is sensational! Lonely Planet should visit Farnham, Godalming or Haslemere & note we have more trees than any other county...
@Nick_Clegg (Liberal Democrat, Sheffield Hallam) Great to meet kids, staff and #sufc legends Tony Currie and Ted Hemsley at Kickz Project today. And the young keeper who saved my penalty...
@TonyLloyd (Labour, Manchester Central) In what is believed to be the fastest U-turn in history milk back on! They may be bad but they are only a little mad
@EdBalls (Labour, Morley & Outwood) Revolution in Middle East, world oil prices soar, Britain hikes VAT with deep spending cuts: growth down, unemployment up.. 1979 or 2011?
